A Place for Christian Development
St. Paul's United Church is committed to a Christian
Development program for people of all ages.
Call
the Church office for more information at 532-2415.
Sunday School: From September to June children from age three to grade 9 meet in classes during worship each Sunday to learn about the Bible, reflect on meanings for our everyday lives and grow in faith. The Church School program uses the United Church curriculum "Spirits of the Seasons", and is based each week on the Bible readings used in worship, so that the whole family journeys through the Bible together.
Youth Groups
People in grades 7- 9 and 10-12 gather to consider current events,
life journeys and significant questions in the light of their faith, and
to enjoy monthly social times together.
Christian Development, no matter what our age,
is rooted in our faith, but flourishes in our life. Considering biblical
stories, reflecting on sermon ideas, and evaluating our lifestyle is an
ongoing process. As questions surface, we periodically offer study
groups that are open to everyone.
e.g. Prayer Workshop, Board Retreat, One Gospel, Many Cultures.
St. Stephen's College (Edmonton) offers a course at St. Paul's once a
year. Topics vary.
We also gather for a 4 week study and discussion from St. Stephen's
brought to us via teleconference.
Mid-Week Groups provide further opportunities for Christian
Development for Boys and Girls.
